About PreCon Yard

The work before the work decides what comes after.

PreCon Yard is a preconstruction partner for contractors in the United States and Canada. We work alongside your people to connect the decisions made before the bid with the work that follows the award.

The idea behind PreCon Yard

Project knowledge should stay with the project.

Before a bid is submitted, someone has worked through the scope, considered the risks, compared quotations and decided what belongs in the price. Those decisions matter again when the job is awarded, materials are ordered and changes arrive.

Our role is to keep that knowledge useful. We support opportunity selection, scope development, estimating and submissions, then carry the accepted information into operations planning and construction support. The connection between those stages is central to how we work.

Our working standards

The discipline behind the partnership.

The relationship is practical: understand the work, document the basis, bring questions forward and prepare information the next person can use.

01

Understand before pricing

Read the documents together and establish what the contractor is being asked to deliver, including interfaces and unresolved requirements.

02

Make the basis visible

Connect scope, quantities, costs and quotations to their sources so a reviewer can follow the decisions behind the total.

03

Use judgment openly

Separate confirmed information from assumptions. Raise uncertainty with the person responsible for the decision.

04

Follow the revisions

Keep the document basis and the effect of changes visible as the scope, estimate and project develop.

05

Respect commercial control

Your team decides which work to pursue and approves the scope, final price, commercial terms and release.

06

Prepare for the next stage

Consider who will use the work after submission and award. Include the budgets, references and open items needed for that handover.

United States and Canada

Project requirements vary by location.

We confirm the location, units, currency and applicable labor basis before pricing. Supplier quotes, client rates and project instructions are recorded with the estimate; items requiring confirmation remain identified.
